Trading hours of HK stocks

Except for public holidays and the market closure due to weather conditions, the Hong Kong stock market generally trades from Monday to Friday. The trading hours are as follows:

1. Pre-opening Session

Random matching period: 9:20 AM - 9:22 AM (matching will start randomly at a time   from 9:20 AM to 9:22 AM at the final Indicative Equilibrium Price)Random matching period: 11:20 AM - 11:22 AM (matching will start randomly at a time   from 11:20 AM to 11:22 AM at the final Indicative Equilibrium Price)Random matching period: 12:20 PM - 12:22 PM (matching willing start randomly at a   time from 12:20 PM to 12:22 PM at the final Indicative Equilibrium Price)Orders are matched during this period.
Blocking period: from the end of the random matching period to 9:30 AMBlocking period: from the end of the random matching period to 11:30 AMBlocking period: from the end of the random matching period to 12:30 PMFor at-auction orders: Outstanding orders will be cancelled by the system. For at-auction limit orders: Outstanding orders will be carried forward to the Continuous Trading Session and treated as limit orders provided that the specified price of that at-auction limit order does not deviate 9 times or more from the nominal price.

Note: During the Extended Morning Session, orders cannot be amended, but can be cancelled from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM (HKT).


3. Closing Auction Session
